Beckie has called Dallas home her entire life. Over the years, she built a career that kept her busy, organized, and constantly around people—working with Delta Airlines and later Ernst & Young, where she managed large corporate events, sometimes for as many as 2,000 people.
It was work that required attention to detail, quick thinking, and the ability to connect with just about anyone.
Beckie will tell you she’s “a little boring,” but that’s hard to believe once you spend a little time with her.
You’ll quickly see—her life is full. Full of family, routines, stories, laughter, and the kind of moments that don’t need to be loud to matter.
“I talk a whole lot,” she said with a laugh.
She wasn’t kidding.
Sit with her for a bit and the stories come easily—one leading into the next, full of people, moments, and memories that she clearly enjoys sharing.
Faith has always been a steady part of Beckie’s life. Not something she talks about loudly—but something she lives.

As she says, “God is in charge"… and the sooner you learn that, the more at peace you’ll be.
Beckie’s mother was incredibly talented, known for her paper tole artwork—intricate, layered pieces created by hand and often given as gifts.
Many of those pieces still live in Beckie’s home today, quietly woven into her everyday life.
It’s easy to see the connection. The creativity, the warmth, the spirit—some things are simply passed down.

Beckie was born and raised in Dallas, where the roots of her life run deep—through family, faith, and the steady values she grew up with.

Kids from the neighborhood know exactly where to go—and they do. Some days it’s candy, some days it’s donuts, but it’s always a place they’re welcome.

Not everyone can say they’ve been on Family Feud once. Beckie’s family has done it three times...1982, 2012, and now again in 2026!

And even at home, that same spirit carries on...cards at the table, games in the living room, a little competition, and a lot of laughter.

There’s a rhythm between them—familiar, practiced… with just enough competition to keep things interesting.
Beckie and Gary met at a Christmas party in 1978 and have been together ever since—over four decades of shared life, routines, and the kind of everyday moments that matter most.
It’s easy, comfortable, and familiar… the kind of love that doesn’t need much explaining.
Aunt Faye’s chocolate pie is, quite possibly, the best chocolate pie ever made, at least according to everyone who’s lucky enough to have a slice. It’s one of those recipes that’s been shared, made often, and never lasts long. You better jot it down and give it a go!
Beckie enjoys life—plain and simple.
Whether it’s trying something new, laughing at the moment, or just doing whatever the day brings, she doesn’t overcomplicate it.
These days, she and Gary are retired… and as she puts it, they do whatever they want.
And of course, there’s Pookie—her little companion of 11 years, never too far from her side.
It’s the simple moments like this that fill the day. A comfortable chair, a little time to sit, and someone close by.
Easy, familiar… and exactly the kind of life Beckie enjoys.
